UHealth and Aidoc partner on AI-driven care diagnostic imaging

UHealth, a prominent healthcare provider, has embarked on a groundbreaking initiative to implement a system-wide artificial intelligence (AI) deployment powered by Aidoc, a trailblazer in AI technology. This strategic move is aligned with UHealth's commitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate care by leveraging AI to identify potential health issues at an early stage in the care process.

Aidoc's advanced technology brings to the table 13 FDA-cleared algorithms and pathway-optimised workflow technologies, all of which will be seamlessly integrated into UHealth's system. The core component of Aidoc's platform, the aiOS™, is designed to promptly flag suspected acute abnormalities in patient scans. This not only expedites the triaging process but also facilitates seamless coordination among medical teams, ensuring a more efficient and collaborative approach to patient care.

At the heart of this initiative is the "Point-of-Care AI Deployment" (POC-AID), a revolutionary approach aimed at providing real-time AI insights to patients within five minutes of undergoing a CT scan. This rapid deployment of AI technology is a game-changer, significantly enhancing efficiency in diagnosis and empowering both patients and healthcare providers with immediate, data-driven decision-making capabilities.

Dr. Alexander McKinney, Shapiro professor and chair of the Department of Radiology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine stated, "By combining our physician expertise with Aidoc’s AI technology, our goal is to be able to provide even more timely and precise care to our patients, ultimately improving their overall healthcare experience.
