Verily, Alphabet’s precision health subsidiary, has launched Lightpath, an AI-powered chronic care solution designed for health plans and their members, with the initial focus on cardiometabolic conditions. Lightpath Metabolic aims to help individuals manage their health goals related to diabetes, hypertension, obesity, and hyperlipidemia through personalized care plans. Open enrollment is expected to begin in early 2026.
Lightpath builds on the success of Verily’s existing solution, Onduo, offering a more comprehensive approach. The program provides modular, flexible care plans tailored to individual needs and incorporates data from health records and connected devices to deliver personalized recommendations. It combines advanced technology with support from healthcare professionals, including endocrinologists and dietitians, accessible through telemedicine.
Lightpath also leverages AI to enhance support for both members and clinicians, featuring an AI assistant to personalize care plans and monitor behavior patterns. The program will allow current Onduo users to migrate to Lightpath Metabolic by late 2025, continuing Verily’s commitment to improving chronic care management through innovative technology and clinical expertise.
