Voiceitt and Cisco join forces to revolutionise speech recognition in virtual meetings

Voiceitt, a company specialising in speech recognition technology, has partnered with Webex by Cisco, a video conferencing platform, to enhance accessibility for individuals with speech impairments in virtual meetings.

Voiceitt's AI-powered speech recognition app enables those with non-standard speech to effectively communicate by instantly translating their unintelligible or atypical speech. This will enable individuals with speech disabilities to express themselves and be understood in both professional and social contexts using cutting-edge voice AI.

Voiceitt is backed by the Amazon Alexa Fund and recently secured $4.7 million in funding, with Cisco Investments participating in the round. Since its establishment in 2012, Voiceitt has raised a total of $20 million, including $5 million from grants and competitions. In 2020, the company received $10 million in Series A funding.

Through this collaboration, real-time AI-enabled captioning and transcription will be provided during Webex virtual meetings, ensuring that individuals with speech impairments can be easily understood. Webex users can download Voiceitt's API from the App Hub, with plans to fully integrate the technology into the Webex platform later this year.
