Withings unveils FDA-Certified ScanWatch 2 with advanced health features

Withings has unveiled two new hybrid watches, the ScanWatch 2 and ScanWatch Light, at IFA 2023. The ScanWatch 2 offers medically certified heart health features, revamped body temperature monitoring, and period tracking. 

Both watches feature a minimalist grayscale OLED screen embedded in the watch face, offering health-tracking features such as heart rate, body temperature, active minutes, sleep scores, and more. They have impressive battery life, requiring charging only every 30 days.

The ScanWatch 2 includes all-day body temperature tracking, irregular heart rate rhythm notifications, and FDA-approved atrial fibrillation (AFib) detection via an electrocardiogram (ECG) app, making it suitable for medical use. 

The ScanWatch 2 comes in 38mm and 42mm sizes, starting at $349.95, while the ScanWatch Light is a smaller, more affordable option at $249.95.
