Are Open Source DTx Solutions the Path to Scalability?

About this Meeting

Since the inception of medicine, practitioners have been sharing observations and best practices. Today, this tradition of open collaboration continues within the medical community as information, observations, clinical pathways, clinical guidelines, etc. are shared in peer-reviewed journals.  It can be easily argued that many aspects of the medical community have been "open source" since the beginning.

Paralleling this, the world of software development has long embraced the concept of 'open source', where the source code of reusable software components is shared freely. This facilitates peer review, promotes customisation, eases redistribution, reduces vendor lock-in, ensures business continuity,  and most importantly, saves time and money.

While the healthcare industry has adopted open source software solutions, as evidenced by the likes of Pinnacle21 OpenCDISC Validator, FDA MyStudies, OpenClinica, and OpenEHR, the potential of integrating this model into the world of digital therapeutics (DTx) remains largely unexplored. Could the future of DTx mirror the trajectory of the open-source software movement?

This meeting is intended to be an exploration of Open Source DTx. Join this session with Chris Cera (Arcweb Technologies) and Eugene Borukhovich (YourCoach Health) to discuss the possibilities, considerations, and challenges to the commercialisation of Open Source DTx.
