Capturing Patient Reported Outcomes in trials with tech

Join us at 10.00 am EDT

Electronic Patient Reported Outcomes (ePROs) have been proven to be more advantageous than paper-based PROs when capturing patient experience data in a clinical trial. ePROs can improve data accuracy, patient safety (clinicians receive alerts for critical symptoms data), integrity, data security, patient compliance and they are time-saving for patients, investigators and sponsors. However, are ePROs always suitable (e.g elderly patients)? What has been done so far in clinical trials that use tech to capture patient outcomes? What are the main challenges to migrate from traditional PROs to ePROs and how to overcome these?
