Gen AI in pharma is an emerging field that leverages AI to enhance various aspects of the pharmaceutical industry.
GenAI holds potential across the pharma value chain. Activity has largely focused on drug discovery and development, with GenAI being leveraged to accelerate the process of de novo drug design, as well as drug repurposing or target identification. Many other opportunities exist across the pharma value chain to incorporate GenAI including in clinical trials to automate clinical trial documentation processes, in supply chain and manufacturing to enhance training processes, in commercial to personalise patient engagement, and in medical affairs for medical content generation and insight generation.
This serves as a foundation for further exploration and development of AI solutions in healthcare.
