Why is now a good time for Digital Health-MedTech Partnerships?

About this Meeting

Small, intimate and participant-led discussions tackling digital health challenges. Spaces are limited to 8 - 12 people, allowing you to focus on quality in-depth conversations.

There have been many failed partnerships between pharma and digital health companies, and most ongoing projects are struggling to make it work out. The industry is starting to realise that pharma may not always be the right partner, and traditional MedTech companies are coming up more and more in conversations as a better positioned player due to their proximity to technology. Digital health solutions can support more efficient processes and they could help MedTech in building new means to engage with patients, new revenue streams, and gathering meaningful data.

Why is now the time for Digital Health-MedTech partnerships, and how to materialise these? How can these partnerships positively impact patients' health? Join this meeting to discuss:

  • Why now and what has worked in the past. Why are traditional MedTech companies venturing into digital health now? Some of them started working on digital health some years ago, what were their motivations? What strategies have worked so far?
  • What’s in it for traditional MedTech? How can digital health improve their brand and value proposition? What is the ROI? How can they help improve efficiencies, or build new revenue streams?
  • Unexplored opportunities for Digital Health-MedTech partnerships. Where are the unexplored opportunities? What MedTech verticals/clinical divisions are better suited for digital health (e.g dialysis machines, surgery, etc)?
  • Considerations when combining Digital Health and traditional MedTech. What are the challenges? How should digital health companies think about Medtech as the appropriate partner and vice versa? How should MedTech reorganise their internal teams to make room for digital health?
  • Pharma vs. MedTech as partners for digital health companies. Why pharma may not be the right partner? And why is MedTech well suited to be a good partner? What needs to happen so it becomes a good partner?
  • Long-term business strategies. As MedTech looks for short term results, how can we start thinking of long-term business strategies? What is the impact in the long-term?
