About this Session:
The Villages, America?s largest 55-year-and-older community, is a one of a kind place that built The Villages Health (TVH) from the ground up: a patient-centered, primary care driven, community-based healthcare model. TVH integrated KAID Health technology to automatically identify quality-improvement and revenue-enhancing clinical insights. KAID deployed their Whole Chart Analysis? solution which unlocks the data buried in patient health records to support TVH?s quality and risk-adjustment needs. The solution aggregates information from payers and EMRs, and derives insights from the entire medical record, including unstructured data to deliver actionable opportunities to the care team. Using NLITE technology (Natural Language Insight & Term Extraction), TVH was able to identify previously unknown, hard-to-access clinical attributes on at least 15 percent of its patient population and provide care teams with more complete chronic conditions for evaluation and management. The system was also able to clearly identify opportunities to manage and treat underlying illnesses and capture previously missed revenue as net new revenue, generating a positive net return on investment.
