About this Session:
Type 1 Diabetes kills more than five million people globally each year. Following the launch of its T1D Health Moonshot, and in recognition of World Diabetes Day, StartUp Health has brought together Type 1 diabetes thought-leaders for a discussion on how cross-disciplinary collaboration, community and entrepreneurship are necessary to increase the pace of T1D innovation that can be applied across healthcare. The conversation will be integrated with scenes from a new documentary, The Human Trial, which follows filmmakers Lisa Hepner and Guy Mossman as they explore a radical stem cell treatment for Type 1 diabetes. Join us as we dissect the journey of all stakeholders and discuss the necessary steps to achieving health moonshots.
