HEALTH EQUITY IMPACT PROGRAM: In Full Health: Helping All of Us Commit to Equitable Innovation

About this Session:

Equity in health innovation moves toward a future by prioritizing investment in health solutions developed by, with, and for Black, Latinx, Indigenous, and other communities of color; women; LGBTQ+ communities; communities with disabilities; communities with low wealth; rural communities; and other communities historically marginalized by the health industry. Those experiencing or most proximate to people with the greatest burden and difficulties in maintaining health and well-being often can imagine, contribute, and createthe most relevant solutions, and however, are often not a part of the existing ecosystem and decisions to fun and build solutions, even considering overwhelming evidence demonstrating that innovation is only as great as the diversity contributing to it. In Full Health, established by the American Medical Association in collaboration with their Equity and Innovation Advisory Committee, provides a framework for shared understanding as well as a network committed to learning and action to embed equity within their health innovation investment, development, and purchasing efforts. Along with our leading founding collaborator organizations and Action Community, we have launched and developed a package of resources and tools from our website InFullHealth.org and our recently released Equitable Health Innovation Solution Development Toolkit to support, connect, engage, and learn with and from each other to advance equitable health innovation.
