HEALTH EQUITY IMPACT PROGRAM: Health Getting to Well with Artificial Intelligence

About this Session:

How can we responsibly and equitably use data and collaborations to close health gaps? The access and use of data, particularly by AI applications, will generate new medical and scientific knowledge with potential to accelerate basic research, diagnostic and novel treatment development, and disease prevention, leading to better health outcomes and cures. However, work remains to address data disparities and privacy concerns, fairness and representativeness in analyses, knowledge access and public trust. What are the best practices for broad data and AI collaborations? We will explore how leveraging data and AI can responsibly improve human health and ultimately to transition the U.S. healthcare system from one bootstrapped by sick care to one focused on well care.
