Women Have Heart

About this Session:

Heart disease remains the number one killer of women with far too many slipping through the cracks of our health system. More than 60 million women in the U.S. are living with heart disease right now with a majority not being diagnosed quickly enough because their symptoms present different from what doctors typically expect (i.e. what men experience.) To add to the concern: a recent survey found that 30% of women between ages 30-50 have never even talked to their doctor about heart health. By closing gaps in access, knowledge and data, women can better understand their risks, spot the warning signs, be more accurately diagnosed by their healthcare providers, and get the treatment they need. It's time women’s cardiovascular health is prioritized and acknowledged as inherently different from our male counterparts. Our hearts are set on this mission!
