About this Session:

In today's interconnected world, cybersecurity is a critical component of our healthcare systems and ability to provide patient care. The recent increase in cyber attacks, in particular ransomware, show how healthcare cybersecurity means patient safety. When global political tensions are acute there is heightened concern about cyber attacks. Focus on cybersecurity in this moment is essential to ensure that all of us who play a critical role in providing the public health services, technology innovations, and patient care which are helping our country to move beyond the pandemic can continue this work undisrupted. Lauren Boas Hayes of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) will discuss the current and future challenges posed to our healthcare systems and how we can collaborate to mitigate these threats.
