Recently, nurses in the US and UK went to the bargaining table over the serious shortage of healthcare workers. This shortage crisis is bleeding forward into 2023 for reasons beyond pay. Nurses work in the trenches, multitasking often over long shifts while documenting the details, a task requiring 22-46% of the nurses? time. Many health systems turn to traveling nurses only to experience the ramp-up required when they don?t know the systems, processes, or hospital policies.
