PocketHealth has launched Record Retrieval, a digital tool for sourcing any prior diagnostic imaging from any provider at any location.
PocketHealth is a patient-centric, no-network medical image-sharing platform.
With Record Retrieval, diagnostic imaging can be digitally requested and retrieved by email or fax and the provider or patient on the receiving end can upload them through a secure link in just two simple steps.
Most often, hospitals and imaging centers face challenges while sourcing and retrieving prior imaging from multiple (not secure) sources as part of the patient intake process, including CD-ROMs, VPNs or legacy image sharing networks. And this process takes time and leads to multiple delays in treatment while adding time, effort and costs for the healthcare administrative staff.
Record Retrieval solves the imaging problem with a well-designed and streamlined patient intake workflow that auto-imports data into a picture and communication system (PACS) and fills the gaps left by the other methods.
With Record Retrieval, providers can easily ‘batch-request records from multiple external organizations in a single workflow’. It also automates signed patient consent, while those organizations can fulfill requests by uploading imaging through a secure web link with a simple interface.
