Adhera Health receives NIH award to enhance digital companion for chronic condition-related fatigue

Adhera Health has received an award from the National Institute on Minority Health and Health Disparities (NIMHD), part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH), to adapt its evidence-based self-management programs for chronic condition-related fatigue to the U.S. Latinx population.

The goal of this initiative is to reduce health inequality by optimising digital interventions that help individuals manage fatigue caused by chronic conditions such as multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, and diabetes.

The Adhera Fatigue and Adhera Caring digital programs will be tailored to address the specific needs of the Latinx population and aim to improve overall well-being. This research project will involve a human factors study, with a focus on both individuals living with chronic diseases and family caregivers, and will take place in Los Angeles County, California.

The study intends to measure how personalised digital-based interventions can be adapted to meet the needs of the Latinx population, particularly in the context of pediatric diabetes.
