Amazon has extended its One Medical Pay-per-visit program to help families access timely, quality healthcare for their children’s common medical needs. The service now includes pediatric care for conditions such as pink eye, lice, and a range of skin-related issues, including eczema, contact dermatitis, and fungal rashes, as well as EpiPen and asthma medication renewals.
The expansion reflects Amazon’s growing commitment to making healthcare more flexible and accessible, particularly for families seeking convenient alternatives to traditional urgent care. Message-based consultations start at $29, while video visits cost $49. Both options include a personalized treatment plan and, when necessary, prescriptions that can be filled through Amazon Pharmacy or a preferred local pharmacy.
“As a parent, I know what it’s like to take a sick child to urgent care and wait over an hour for a ten-minute consultation,” said Bergen Elsa, General Manager of Amazon One Medical Pay-per-visit. “Our goal is to help families connect with trusted care providers anytime, day or night, saving time and money while providing peace of mind.”
The service operates through health.amazon.com, where parents can create an Amazon Health minor profile to manage their child’s care. After submitting a short intake form with medical history and symptoms, families can connect with a board-certified family physician or nurse practitioner through messaging or video. Following the consultation, they receive a tailored treatment plan and prescription if needed. Payments can be made using a credit card, FSA, or HSA, accommodating families who prefer to pay out of pocket.
For families seeking ongoing or more comprehensive care, One Medical clinics continue to offer both in-person and remote visits, with insurance options available. Membership plans start at $99 per year, or $9 per month for Prime members, and include 24/7 video chats, secure messaging, and same-day appointments.
Amazon’s latest move positions One Medical Pay-per-visit as a practical, low-cost solution for families looking to simplify access to pediatric care, particularly for those without insurance or those who prefer not to use their insurance for occasional healthcare needs.
