Butterfly Network, a digital health company known for its portable ultrasound technology, has released its software development kit (SDK) to third-party developers.
The SDK allows AI software developers, medical device companies, and telemedicine companies to build custom applications that can be used by Butterfly's extensive customer base.
The company plans to establish "Butterfly Garden," an AI Marketplace where new apps can be hosted and accessed by Butterfly users. The SDK can be used to develop various AI solutions, including image acquisition assistance, clinical decision support, and integration of ultrasound into new modalities like augmented reality and robotics.
Applications for SDK access are now open on a rolling basis through the Butterfly Network website.
