Carda Health has partnered with the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) to expand access to virtual cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation services. The collaboration will combine Carda's at-home cardiopulmonary care platform with ACLM's expertise in lifestyle medicine, aiming to make evidence-based rehabilitation and chronic disease management more accessible to patients.
Carda Health provides virtual rehabilitation programs for individuals managing cardiovascular and respiratory conditions, including COPD, lung disease, long COVID, shortness of breath and recovery following cardiac events. Its model allows patients to participate in clinically supervised rehabilitation from home, reducing barriers associated with travel, facility availability and traditional in-person programs.
Through the partnership, ACLM will use Carda Health's clinical engagement, educational and research capabilities to support its members in delivering at-home cardiac and pulmonary rehabilitation. The organizations will also explore joint research pilots and demonstration projects to evaluate opportunities for expanding virtual rehabilitation and lifestyle-based chronic disease management.
Carda will contribute educational resources, including webinars, podcasts and other clinical content, to ACLM's professional community. The collaboration aims to connect healthcare professionals with tools and knowledge that support the integration of rehabilitation, lifestyle interventions and long-term chronic disease management into routine care.
The agreement builds on Carda Health's recent partnerships with Humana and Ornish Lifestyle Medicine. Through Humana, Carda provides eligible members with virtual rehabilitation programs incorporating supervised exercise, medication management and nutritional assessments. Its collaboration with Ornish Lifestyle Medicine also brings intensive cardiac rehabilitation online, combining nutrition, physical activity, stress management and social support.
