Ciena Healthcare and Circadia Health have formed a partnership to integrate Circadia Health's state-of-the-art health monitoring systems into Ciena Healthcare's network of 77 skilled nursing facilities. This collaboration aims to reduce preventable re-hospitalisations by 25% once the technology is fully implemented. Circadia Health's platform, featuring the FDA-cleared C100 system for contactless remote monitoring, is designed to enhance patient care by providing early detection of health issues in skilled nursing facilities across Michigan and Ohio. The partnership is expected to revolutionise senior care by combining Ciena Healthcare's reputation in skilled nursing with Circadia Health's innovative AI-powered monitoring and care coordination capabilities.
Circadia Health's C100 system enables continuous monitoring of vital signs such as respiratory rate, heart rate, and motion without physical contact. The collected data is analysed by virtual registered nurses, who can identify high-risk residents facing potential health crises such as sepsis, pneumonia, COPD, and CHF up to 58 hours in advance. This early detection window allows for timely and effective intervention, significantly improving patient outcomes.
Mohammad A. Qazi, President & CEO of Ciena Healthcare, views this partnership as a significant step forward in advancing the quality of life for seniors and establishing a new standard of excellence in senior healthcare.
