Healthtech company Flatiron Health has announced a partnership with the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust (LTHT) in the United Kingdom, marking a significant milestone in its expansion as a leader in oncology real-world data (RWD).
The collaboration aims to improve cancer care and research by incorporating more patient experiences into the evidence supporting treatment, development, and regulatory decisions. Flatiron, known for curating high-quality RWD from aggregated patient information, will work with LTHT to transform unorganised cancer data into anonymised datasets for research purposes.
This partnership follows Flatiron's commitment to advancing research and improving patient outcomes globally. The company has also expanded internationally through similar collaborations in Japan and Germany.
The goal is to generate top-quality oncology datasets for research collaborations with hospital partners and to accelerate cancer research in collaboration with biopharmaceutical companies.
The partnership with LTHT has received approval from the NHS Health Research Authority, further supporting Flatiron's mission to advance oncology care through RWD partnerships.
