Florence, a healthcare software company, has announced its acquisition of Zipnosis, a virtual care solution that prioritises asynchronous telemedicine.
The acquisition aims to expand Florence's product offerings and create a patient-centric interface that engages individuals throughout their healthcare journey. The goal is to address the constraint of clinical capacity by providing efficient care for clinicians while making quality healthcare more accessible and affordable for patients.
By combining their strengths, Florence and Zipnosis aim to create exceptional healthcare experiences for patients both virtually and in-clinic, allowing clinicians more time to focus on patient care. Zipnosis' intelligent adaptive interviews enable care delivery in just 89 seconds, resulting in increased patient accessibility and freeing up physicians' time to treat more patients.
The acquisition follows Florence's recent launch and $20 million in seed funding, as the company strives to enhance patient satisfaction, increase clinical capacity, and enable omnichannel transformation in telehealth and hybrid care settings.
Florence's platform offers patients the ability to track and accelerate their healthcare journey through their smartphones, update clinical information, facilitate prescription fulfilment, initiate self-discharge, and schedule follow-up appointments.
The company aims to develop products across multiple care sites to improve patient satisfaction, reduce patient wait times, and enable a seamless healthcare experience across telehealth and hybrid care settings, including emergency rooms.
