Flywheel secures $54M for medical AI imaging platform

Minneapolis-based medical imaging data and AI platform, Flywheel, has successfully raised $54 million in Series D funding. The funding round was supported by prominent tech giants such as Nvidia and Microsoft, among others.


Flywheel specialises in transforming complex imaging data into analysis-ready datasets, facilitating accelerated research and AI development. The platform offers comprehensive solutions to various entities, including pharmaceutical companies, providers, payers, system integrators, AI developers, and academic medical centres, allowing them to maximise the value of their data assets.


The newly secured funding will contribute to Flywheel's ongoing growth in its primary markets, which are public-sector healthcare and pharmaceutical companies.
