Function has announced the closing of $450 million in growth financing that will support the next phase of its expansion and accelerate its goal of making preventive health tools available to a broader population. The financing will enable the company to scale its platform, which combines laboratory testing, imaging, and personalized health insights into a single offering designed to support long-term health management.
Since launching its early beta in 2023, Function has developed a platform that integrates more than 160 laboratory tests, advanced imaging services, and digital health intelligence to help individuals better understand their health. The company said the new financing follows its recent acquisitions of Getlabs, which provides a nationwide at-home and office blood draw network, and SuppCo, a supplement platform, both completed during the second quarter of 2026.
Jonathan Swerdlin, co-founder and CEO of Function, said the financing will help the company expand its reach while advancing its long-term vision. He stated, "Our mission is simple: enable you to live 100 healthy years. Everyone deserves to feel their best and avoid suffering." He added, "Every dollar invested in Function is a vote for one hundred healthy years for eight billion people. This growth financing allows us to pull the inevitable and optimistic future of health into the present."
The financing was provided through General Catalyst's Customer Value Fund, reflecting continued support for Function's growth strategy. Pranav Singhvi, Partner and Co-Head of CVF at General Catalyst, commented, "This financing reflects our belief that Function is one of the defining companies of our generation." He continued, "Function has created an entirely new approach to health that we have never had before. We believe Function is uniquely positioned to reach millions more people, and we're proud to support the next phase of its growth."
Function said it will use the new capital to accelerate adoption of its platform, which includes laboratory testing, MRI and CT imaging, and a personal health application designed to support informed health decisions through continuous monitoring and personalized clinical insights.
