Glooko announces partnership with insulin dosing app Hedia

Digital diabetes and chronic condition management company, Glooko, has partnered with Hedia to integrate its app into Glooko’s remote monitoring platform.

Currently, the Glooko platform allows patients to share their diabetes health data with their healthcare providers including information on blood glucose levels, insulin dosing, activity levels, food and carbs, blood pressure and weight, among others. With the integration of Hedia Diabetes Assistant, people with diabetes will be able to input their blood glucose, meals, and activity levels, and receive bolus insulin dosing advice.  Additionally, in the European Union, the app can be used in conjunction with connected insulin pens, giving providers more insights into patient's insulin therapy. The integrated solutions will provide a higher level of visibility for healthcare providers managing patients on multiple daily injection therapies, enhancing the capabilities of Glooko’s remote patient monitoring.

"We are very pleased to partner with Hedia to offer this algorithm-driven innovation for personalized healthcare for diabetes patients and their healthcare teams," Russ Johannesson, CEO of Glooko, said in a statement.

The initial launch of the integration in Europe is expected in the fourth quarter of 2023 and the first quarter of 2024.
