Hawaii Collaborates With Bamboo Health to Enhance Prescription Drug Monitoring

The State of Hawaii has partnered with Bamboo Health, a leader in real-time care intelligence solutions, to bolster its efforts in addressing opioid overdoses.

The partnership integrates Bamboo Health’s PMP Gateway® and PMP AWARxE® solutions into Hawaii’s healthcare infrastructure, enabling providers and pharmacists to access critical PDMP data directly within their electronic health records (EHRs) and pharmacy management systems. This integration delivers real-time insights into patients’ controlled substance prescription histories, supporting:

• Risk Identification: Detecting patterns of opioid misuse and overprescribing.

• Informed Decision-Making: Promoting safer and more responsible prescribing practices.

• Patient Safety: Reducing opioid overdoses and adverse events.

• Care Coordination: Enhancing collaboration among healthcare providers managing a patient’s care.
