Healthy.io Secures $50 Million in Series D Funding

Healthy.io has announced that it has completed a $50M Series D funding round, led by Schusterman Family Investments, as well as Aleph and other existing shareholders. Healthy.io is a global leader in transforming a smart-phone camera into a clinical-grade device. The company has seen increased commercial traction in the U.S since it became the first and only company to offer an FDA-cleared smartphone-powered, at-home kidney test.

Healthy.io will use the funding to support expansion across the U.S market. The company's clinical-grade kidney test and patient engagement service, Minuteful Kidney has met increased demand across the U.S amongst health plans, health systems, and kidney care management groups. 

Barriers such as a lack of awareness and transportation challenges prevent at-risk Americans from completing recommended testing, making Healthy.io’s at-home clinical grade testing a desired solution. The solution has demonstrated high adherence rates of up to 50% among previously untested populations in the U.S and UK. 

As well as its urinalysis services, Healthy.io has developed a novel computer vision and smartphone-enabled wound image technology to digitise the management of chronic wounds.
