Highmark BCBS Delaware and Wellinks join forces to transform COPD care

Highmark BlueCross Blue Shield Delaware has partnered with Wellinks to provide virtual COPD care to underserved populations in Delaware, starting from July 1st. 

Wellinks offers a virtual-first approach that combines pulmonary rehabilitation, personalised coaching, connected device monitoring, and a patient-friendly app to empower COPD patients. This approach aims to prevent exacerbations, reduce hospitalisations, and enhance the quality of life for individuals with COPD. 

Through Wellinks, Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield Delaware members can access effective COPD care solutions from their homes, including exercises, education, and personalised support. The integration of connected devices allows members to track symptoms, access pulmonary data, follow their medication plan, and monitor their progress. 

This data also provides valuable insights to care teams, enabling informed clinical decisions and ensuring members stay on track with their care plans.
