Hippocratic AI raises $15M, partners with 3 health systems

Hippocratic AI, a revolutionary artificial intelligence platform for the healthcare industry, has recently announced its partnerships with three prominent health systems and secured an impressive $15 million in funding.

The three esteemed health systems, namely Cincinnati Children's, HonorHealth based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and Universal Health Services located in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, have become the founding partners of Hippocratic AI. Additionally, Cincinnati Children's and HonorHealth have taken the initiative to invest in the startup.

Hippocratic AI made its debut in May with a substantial $50 million in funding, which was co-led by renowned venture capital firms, General Catalyst, and Andreessen Horowitz. The startup was co-founded by Dr. Meenesh Bhimani, the former Chief Operating Officer of El Camino Health. Dr. Bhimani expressed immense excitement about the potential of this cutting-edge technology in transforming the delivery of healthcare. With over two decades of experience as a physician and hospital administrator, he acknowledged that this level of enthusiasm for new technology is unprecedented.

The founding partners of Hippocratic AI will play an instrumental role in various aspects of its development. They will collaborate to enhance the capabilities of the large language model and refine the underlying technology. Furthermore, they will work together to identify and establish use cases for the AI platform, ensuring its practical applications in the healthcare landscape. An essential aspect of this partnership will be the rigorous validation of the platform's clinical efficacy and its commitment to ensuring patient safety.
