Imagine Pediatrics, one of the nation's largest pediatric medical groups specializing in children with special health care needs, has raised $67 million in Series B funding to fuel its ambitious expansion plans. The round attracted both existing investors Oak HC/FT, Optum Ventures, and Rubicon Founders, alongside new strategic investment from the Autism Impact Fund and others, signaling strong confidence in the company's value-based care model.
Founded in 2022, the technology-enabled pediatric medical group has rapidly scaled to serve approximately 40,000 children across the United States through its innovative approach to care delivery. The company's integrated model combines medical, behavioral, and social services through 24/7 virtual and in-home care, addressing a critical gap in the healthcare system where one in five children has a special health care need, representing nearly half of pediatric healthcare spending across Medicaid and Commercial insurance.
The funding will accelerate Imagine Pediatrics' national expansion, enhance its proprietary technology platform, and drive clinical innovation. The company's multidisciplinary care teams work seamlessly with existing providers to deliver comprehensive support spanning pharmacy, nutrition, behavioral health, palliative care, and social services. This holistic approach helps families navigate the complex challenges of managing multiple chronic conditions and behavioral health needs while addressing social determinants of health.
The company's impact extends beyond patient care to demonstrable system-wide improvements. Through strategic partnerships with leading health plans, Imagine Pediatrics has completed nearly 300,000 patient encounters in just over two years. This extensive reach has translated into significant operational efficiencies, reducing emergency department reliance and preventing avoidable hospital admissions. The financial impact has been substantial, with the company saving its partners more than $65 million in 2024 alone while maintaining exceptional family satisfaction reflected in a Net Promoter Score above 86.
"This investment strengthens our ability to scale proven, innovative care models that expand access, improve outcomes, and lower costs for children with special health care needs and their families," said George Boghos, CEO of Imagine Pediatrics. "We're proud to partner with investors who share our vision for building a more accessible, inclusive pediatric care system."
The Series B funding positions Imagine Pediatrics to address the persistent care gaps affecting millions of children with complex health needs, offering a scalable solution that benefits families, healthcare providers, and payers alike through its value-based care arrangements.
