Iris Telehealth Launches Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health Platform for Proactive Mental Health Support

Iris Telehealth has launched an Integrated Women’s Behavioral Health solution designed to embed mental health support into women's healthcare journeys rather than treating it as a separate service. The new model integrates therapy, psychiatry and behavioral health resources into key stages of care, including fertility treatment, pregnancy, postpartum recovery, neonatal intensive care, menopause and other women's health milestones. Instead of waiting until patients experience a mental health crisis, the program introduces behavioral health support proactively at predefined points throughout the care pathway.

The launch is supported by findings from Iris Telehealth’s new Invisible Load Index survey, which found that although most women believe healthcare providers recognize the impact of stress on their mental health, many still receive little or no practical support. The survey also found that ongoing caregiving responsibilities, time constraints and emotional burden frequently prevent women from seeking behavioral healthcare, highlighting a gap between identifying mental health needs and delivering timely intervention. Iris designed the new model to close that gap by making behavioral health a routine part of women’s healthcare rather than an optional referral after symptoms become severe.

Working with healthcare organizations, Iris helps establish behavioral health protocols tailored to specific stages of women’s care. Services may include therapy, psychiatric medication management, same-day interventions, care coordination and group support, all delivered by clinicians with specialized training in women’s behavioral health. The program also extends beyond individual patients by incorporating support for partners, caregivers and family members, recognizing the important role they play in treatment adherence, recovery and long-term well-being.

The new offering forms part of Iris Telehealth’s broader strategy to integrate behavioral health into specialty care programs. By embedding mental health services directly into existing women’s health workflows, the company aims to make support easier to access, improve continuity of care and reduce the barriers that often prevent patients from receiving behavioral health services. The launch reflects a growing movement toward more holistic, integrated care models that address both physical and mental health throughout major life transitions.
