Ichilov Hospital in Tel Aviv, Israel, has introduced an AI-based triage pilot integration in its Sourasky Medical Center Emergency Department in collaboration with Kahun, a clinical reasoning tool for physicians.
This integration aims to provide pre-visit clinical insights to physicians and nurses, allowing them to focus more on the treatment plan during patient visits, thereby reducing fatigue and burnout among the clinical team.
Kahun's AI-based clinical reasoning tool utilises an XAI (explainable AI) engine and a proprietary map of over 30 million evidence-based medical insights to generate tailored clinical assessments for each patient.
By removing human biases and variability in care, Kahun's solution ensures that patients receive the highest standard of medical care available.
The deployment of this AI-based triage system at Ichilov Hospital is the first of its kind in Israel, and it is expected to improve the overall quality of patient care while alleviating the burden on medical staff.
