Jefferson Health, based in Philadelphia, has recently entered into a service agreement with Crozer Health, located in Upland, Pennsylvania, to extend neurological care services in Delaware County. Commencing on January 15, specialists from Jefferson Health have initiated the delivery of neurosurgery and neurocritical care on the campus of Crozer-Chester Medical Center.
Baligh Yehia, MD, President of Jefferson Health, expressed the significance of this collaboration in a press release, stating, "This new relationship allows Jefferson Health to bring critical care to Crozer Health's patients that they otherwise wouldn't be able to access."
The expansion of services aims to offer patients in Delaware County access to cutting-edge innovations for traumatic injuries affecting the brain and spine, as well as those with various neurological disorders.
Jefferson Health, a nonprofit health system, boasts a workforce of over 42,000 employees, including 17 hospitals and more than 50 outpatient and urgent care locations. On the other hand, Crozer Health, owned by Prospect Medical Holdings, features 4,429 employees and 1,116 providers on staff, operating four hospitals and multiple outpatient facilities.
