LG Electronics has launched a new venture, Primefocus Health, to develop a healthcare delivery platform aimed at providers. This platform will facilitate remote patient monitoring and offer patients access to new therapies through technological applications. It will enable healthcare providers to collect data, communicate with patients, track their progress, and intervene as necessary, integrating with existing electronic health record systems and utilizing AI and machine learning.
Primefocus Health is the inaugural platform from LG Electronics North America Innovation Center and LG NOVA. According to Darren Sabo, CEO of Primefocus Health, the venture aims to build on LG’s trusted consumer reputation to enhance healthcare management at home, promising personalized, accessible, and effective care.
This initiative is part of LG's broader strategy to penetrate the home healthcare market. Atul Singh, general manager of digital health at LG NOVA, explained that LG aims to extend care from hospitals to homes, leveraging their existing consumer electronics to improve health outcomes.
