The collaboration, announced Tuesday, focuses on developing AI-powered solutions including ambient documentation, digital whiteboards, patient engagement tools, and hospital-at-home services to transform both patient care and clinical workflows.

The partnership represents a significant investment in healthcare innovation, with Mayo Clinic taking a financial stake in the technology's success. According to the announcement, any revenue generated from this partnership will be directed toward supporting Mayo Clinic's not-for-profit mission encompassing patient care, education, and research. This arrangement follows hellocare.ai's successful $47 million funding round completed in April, positioning the company for expanded development and deployment of its smart hospital platform.

Dr. Michael Maniaci, a professor of medicine at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine and Science, emphasized the transformative nature of the initiative. The Korea Health Industry Development Institute's smart hospital project, launched in 2020, has successfully deployed 74 smart hospital tools across 17 hospitals in South Korea.
