NeuroFlow acquires 2nd behavioral health company in 1 year

Behavioral health companies have been consolidating to meet the rising demand for mental health services by merging resources, expertise, and care models. Philadelphia-based NeuroFlow, a behavioral health software startup, acquired Owl, a provider of measurement-based behavioral health care. This acquisition represents a trend where clinical services and tech-enabled service companies combine to enhance their offerings.

Founded in 2016, NeuroFlow aims to integrate behavioral health into overall healthcare. Its platform provides behavioral health assessments, engages patients with personalized self-care activities, and uses AI to support clinical decisions and triage alerts. Owl specializes in measurement-based care, using standardized assessments to track patient outcomes.

NeuroFlow's acquisition of Owl will expand its reach to over 17 million lives and support payers and providers across all 50 states. The two companies had previously shared a customer, Ascension, and decided that merging would allow them to offer a more comprehensive solution. This deal follows NeuroFlow’s previous acquisition of Capital Solution Design and highlights the importance of consolidations in addressing the increasing demand for mental health services.
