Digital health company NeuroRPM Inc., has received FDA clearance for NeuroRPM, its AI-powered remote monitoring app for Parkinson’s disease. The app uses AI and Apple Watch, providing the most advanced remote monitoring of Parkinson’s disease from a wearable device. The product monitors Parkinson’s disease symptoms such as bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia.
NeuroRPM is available through prescription and only uses data from the Apple Watch that the user has approved to share with the app. The app provides an effective method of continuously monitoring symptoms and health metrics of Parkinson’s disease. This will allow Parkinson’s patients to have a greater understanding of their own health and enable care providers to make more informed clinical decisions, improving health outcomes.
"This technology will allow for unprecedented insights into the symptoms of Parkinson's disease including bradykinesia, tremor, and dyskinesia, using critical health and wellness data from Apple Watch. NeuroRPM is able to assess even slight changes with accuracy comparable to that of a neurologist. This changes the game for the treatment of Parkinson’s patients”. said Co-founder Dr. Alexander Ksendzovsky, also the Director of Functional Neurosurgery at the University of Maryland.
