New York-based virtual primary care provider K Health has partnered with Northwell Health, the state’s largest healthcare system, to power its new virtual primary care platform, Northwell Primary Care Now. Through this collaboration, K Health’s AI-driven technology will support Northwell’s clinicians by streamlining patient intake and improving access to care.
K Health’s platform uses artificial intelligence to guide patients through an initial intake, combining their responses with electronic medical record data to generate a detailed medical chart that provides clinicians with personalized insights. The system helps determine whether a patient requires virtual or in-person care and connects them with a Northwell clinician for same-day appointments, available 24/7.
According to Ran Shaul, cofounder and chief product officer at K Health, this partnership will extend the company’s technology to millions of patients nationwide and represents a major step toward transforming primary care to benefit both patients and providers.
The collaboration with Northwell follows K Health’s growing network of partnerships with major health systems, including Mayo Clinic, Cedars-Sinai, Hackensack Meridian Health, Hartford HealthCare, and Mass General Brigham. The company has also raised substantial funding to support its expansion and AI development, including $50 million in 2023 and previous rounds totaling over $300 million since its launch in 2016.
