NowPatient & Lifelight Partner for Smartphone BP Monitoring in Telehealth

NowPatient, a global online pharmacy and telehealth service, has partnered with Lifelight, a pioneer in software-only blood pressure monitoring, to integrate Lifelight’s clinically validated technology into its virtual care platform. This innovation enables remote blood pressure measurement using only a smartphone, eliminating the need for wearables or cuffs and removing a major barrier to telehealth adoption. Traditionally, many treatments requiring accurate blood pressure readings could not be prescribed virtually, but Lifelight’s CE Class I medical device overcomes this by analyzing subtle skin color changes through a smartphone camera in under a minute.

Rajive Patel, Product Lead at NowPatient, emphasized that this integration revolutionizes remote treatment by allowing clinicians to prescribe medications that previously required in-person visits. “With Lifelight, we’re not only addressing the challenge of remotely assessing vital signs but also expanding access to care and unlocking broader treatment options for our users,” he said. The seamless integration enhances user experience and provides clinicians with a more comprehensive view of patient health, improving decision-making and treatment outcomes.
