NVIDIA makes drug discovery, medical imaging, and genomics easier with cloud-based AI

NVIDIA has collaborated with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to integrate NVIDIA NIM, a set of cloud-native AI microservices, making AI-powered healthcare more accessible. This integration allows developers to utilise pre-trained AI models for drug discovery, medical imaging analysis, and genomics research via easy-to-use APIs.

The integration streamlines access to powerful AI tools by seamlessly integrating with popular AWS services like SageMaker and ParallelCluster. This simplifies the deployment of AI models for healthcare and life sciences companies already using AWS infrastructure.

Benefits include faster development through bypassing complex model development, multimodal workflows combining AI models from various sources, and enhanced drug discovery with tools like BioNeMo.

Real-world examples demonstrate significant speed improvements in protein interaction prediction and genomics analysis. Additionally, NIM offers applications beyond scientific research, including large language models for conversational AI healthcare assistants and visual generative AI for digital avatars and chatbots.
