Omada Expanding Cardiometabolic Care Platform To Cholesterol Management

Omada Health is expanding its cardiometabolic care platform to include dedicated support for individuals with high cholesterol, addressing a major but often undermanaged risk factor. The company noted that up to 70% of adults with obesity also have elevated cholesterol, yet many never reach healthy levels—leaving a significant gap in preventive care.

The new Omada for Cholesterol program integrates AI-powered tools with human-led coaching and is embedded within Omada’s broader platform for managing weight, blood pressure, and diabetes. Members gain access to a multidisciplinary care team, including health coaches and cardiometabolic experts, who support nutrition, behavior change, medication adherence, and overall risk reduction.

Omada leaders say cholesterol management is frequently overshadowed by other metrics such as A1C, even though uncontrolled cholesterol significantly increases cardiovascular risk. The company also pointed to ongoing public debate around statins, which may discourage some patients from seeking treatment. By offering continuous, day-to-day support rather than relying solely on periodic lab tests and appointments, Omada aims to help patients lower cholesterol levels before serious events occur.

The platform emphasizes lifestyle modification alongside medication support, ensuring patients understand and adhere to prescribed therapies. Omada’s goal is to proactively reduce cardiometabolic risk, positioning cholesterol management as a central component of preventive care rather than an afterthought.
