PatientIQ has raised $30 million in Series C financing to expand its healthcare outcomes intelligence platform, deepen integrations across health systems and grow its real-world evidence capabilities for life sciences organizations.
Since completing its Series B financing in 2022, PatientIQ has expanded from 200 provider organizations to more than 870 health systems, private practices and specialty clinics. Its platform now covers more than 17 million patients and has captured over 70 million patient outcomes across more than 20 medical specialties, including orthopedics, neurosurgery and thoracic surgery.
The company’s technology integrates with more than 50 electronic health record platforms, including Epic, Oracle Health and athenahealth. These connections enable healthcare organizations to incorporate patient-reported outcome measures directly into existing clinical workflows. Validated surveys can be triggered at standardized pre- and post-operative intervals without requiring clinicians to leave their primary EHR charting environment.
PatientIQ plans to use the new capital across three primary areas. The company intends to deepen specialty integrations within health systems while supporting national clinical data registries operated by organizations including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Association of Neurological Surgeons and Society of Thoracic Surgeons.
A second focus will be expanding PatientIQ’s real-world evidence activities for medical device and biopharmaceutical companies. The platform supports use cases including post-market clinical follow-up, FDA regulatory submissions and longitudinal comparative effectiveness studies. Existing enterprise customers in this segment include Johnson & Johnson and Zimmer Biomet.
PatientIQ also plans to establish a direct-to-patient marketplace designed to connect individuals with rehabilitation tools, specialty medical supplies and clinical recovery services during post-treatment care.
The financing comes as healthcare providers, specialty organizations and life sciences companies increasingly seek standardized longitudinal outcomes data that can connect clinical care with research and regulatory requirements. PatientIQ’s approach centers on capturing patient-reported information through existing clinical infrastructure and making those datasets available for outcomes analysis and evidence generation across different specialties and care settings.
