Pear Suite and OutCare Health collaborate to enhance LGBTQ+ healthcare accessibility

Digital health company Pear Suite and nonprofit organisation OutCare Health have formed a partnership to address the care needs of the LGBTQ+ community. 

Pear Suite's social navigation platform, which collects social determinants of health data, will be provided to employers, healthcare organisations, and health plans to improve healthcare outcomes for LGBTQ+ individuals. 

OutCare Health offers LGBTQ+ healthcare resources, including a directory of LGBTQ+-friendly providers. By utilising Pear's navigation platform and social determinants of health data, OutCare Health aims to connect LGBTQ+ patients with affirming healthcare providers, support groups, mentors, and community health resources. 

The collaboration will also allow Pear Suite customers to access OutCare Health's comprehensive training, LGBTQ+ affirming provider network, and resources, thus expanding LGBTQ+ care across the country. 

Pear Suite recently closed a $2.5 million seed funding round to support the expansion of its care navigation platform. The partnership reflects the growing trend of companies focusing on improving healthcare services for the LGBTQ+ community, with Folx Health being another notable player in the field.
