Quantum Health Acquires CirrusMD to Integrate Physician-Led Virtual Care into Navigation Platform

Quantum Health has announced the acquisition of CirrusMD, bringing physician-led virtual care directly into its healthcare navigation model. The transaction integrates on-demand clinical services with Quantum Health’s Real-Time Intercept® approach, which identifies critical healthcare moments as they occur and enables earlier engagement with members and providers.

By embedding CirrusMD’s clinical team, Quantum Health expands its ability to connect members with a physician in under 60 seconds through 24/7/365 chat-first virtual care. Services include virtual primary and urgent care, annual wellness visits, behavioral health support, women’s health, weight management, lab orders, and preventive screenings such as mammograms and colonoscopies. The company positions virtual care as a scalable and lower-cost alternative to certain in-person services, supporting employer efforts to manage healthcare expenditures.

The acquisition builds on Quantum Health’s recent purchase of Embold Health and the launch of its agentic AI platform. The combined capabilities are designed to enable earlier comprehensive care, physician-driven referrals, and proactive outreach, with the aim of reducing unnecessary emergency department utilization and avoiding care delays.

"Healthcare needs to work earlier, faster and cost less," said Dayne Williams, Chief Executive Officer of Quantum Health. "By bringing CirrusMD’s physician-led virtual care directly into our navigation model, we are fundamentally strengthening Real-Time Intercept by engaging members sooner, improving outcomes and delivering meaningful healthcare cost containment for the employers and members we serve."

CirrusMD’s platform, which integrates with longitudinal health records and is supported by AI-driven clinical intelligence tools, will now operate within Quantum Health’s navigation ecosystem. The integration is intended to enhance personalized guidance and real-time clinical decision support for members, care coordinators, and physicians.

"Our virtual care platform was built to remove barriers to care by giving people immediate and affordable access to trusted physicians," said Jamie Hall, Chief Executive Officer of CirrusMD. "By joining Quantum Health, we can extend that impact even further by integrating real-time physician care directly into the navigation experience and helping millions of members move seamlessly from question to action."

The combined organization will include more than 2,300 employees serving over 20 million members across the United States, reflecting an expanded scale in navigation and virtual care delivery.
