Qure.ai joins Medtronic India's stroke care initiative

Medtronic has announced a partnership with Qure.ai to integrate artificial intelligence (AI) to advance stroke care in India.

Qure.ai offers AI solutions to streamline the stroke care pathway. qER, one of their flagship products, delivers quick reading and interpretation of heart CT scans, in two minutes. Information is then stored in the Qure app, to allow interdisciplinary teams to collaborate based on the information.

The partnership between Medtronic and Qure.ai aims to provide an AI-solution to comprehensive stroke centres as well as primary stroke centres in India. A hub-and-spoke network will also be created, connecting via technology. According to Medtronic, the network will enable faster identification, decision-making, and triaging of stroke patients, to facilitate better patient outcomes.

Due to the lack of stroke symptom awareness and organised patient routes, stroke patients are frequently prevented from receiving proper care in time. Improvements in decision-making, enabling quicker treatment, and could allow more stroke patients in India to receive timely care.

Commenting on the partnership, Prashant Warier, CEO and Co-Founder of Qure.ai, Partnering with Medtronic India, we will integrate Qure.ai's AI-powered neuro-critical solution suite to detect and manage stroke more effectively. Our cutting-edge technology utilises advanced algorithms to analyse medical images, so that healthcare providers can make informed decisions with improved diagnostic accuracy and speed.
