Scripta Insights, an AI-powered pharmacy navigation platform, has raised $17 million in Series B funding led by Aquiline, a private investment firm specializing in financial services and technology. This latest investment brings Scripta’s total funding to $42 million and strengthens its mission to address the escalating cost of prescription drugs in the United States.
Tackling the Prescription Drug Affordability Crisis
The rising cost of prescription medications presents a significant challenge for millions of Americans, often leading to medication non-adherence and poor health outcomes. Scripta Insights aims to alleviate these issues by equipping consumers with transparent, personalized tools to find affordable medication options.
Scripta’s Innovative Solutions
Scripta offers two key tools designed to empower consumers and plan sponsors:
Rx Navigator: Helps employees and their dependents explore cost-effective prescription options, including discounts, coupons, and pharmacy price comparisons.
Rx Monitor: Provides plan sponsors with advanced analytics to better manage and reduce prescription drug benefit costs.
Strategic Growth and Partnerships
To expand its reach and impact, Scripta has formed partnerships with leading benefits brokers and healthcare organizations. Its solutions are trusted by a growing base of self-insured health plans and employers, from small businesses to Fortune 500 companies.
Eric Levin, CEO of Scripta Insights, highlighted the platform's transformative impact. “We are changing the way people shop for prescription drugs in America,” Levin said. “In the last year alone, we facilitated 78,000 prescription switches, saving $29 million in prescription costs. These savings directly translate to better access, affordability, and adherence, removing barriers to positive health outcomes. Notably, 93% of drug switches driven by our clinical recommendations remain switched after 12 months.”
With its latest funding, Scripta Insights is well-positioned to further innovate and expand its AI-driven platform, helping more Americans access affordable medications and achieve better health outcomes.
