Sidekick Health expands oncology and women's health portfolio with acquisition of PINK! in Germany

Sidekick Health, a global leader in digital health innovation, has acquired PINK!, a pioneering digital health company specialising in cancer support and women's health, enhancing its portfolio and strengthening its position in the digital therapeutics market. This acquisition includes PINK! Coach, the only permanently listed prescription digital therapeutic (PDT) for breast cancer within Germany's DiGA formulary, which improves health-related quality of life and literacy by addressing the psychological, psychosomatic, and physical effects of breast cancer.

With an 80% compound annual growth rate, Sidekick Health collaborates with five of the world's twenty largest healthcare companies and has products prescribed by over 13,000 physicians. The company is also partnering with a major US health insurer and operates within Medicare, Medicaid, and employer populations. In the pharmaceutical sector, Sidekick has strategic partnerships with industry giants like Eli Lilly and Pfizer across the US and Europe.

Dr. Tryggvi Thorgeirsson, Co-founder and CEO of Sidekick Health, emphasised that the acquisition aligns with Sidekick’s mission to transform global healthcare through digital innovation. He highlighted the integration of PINK!'s breast cancer PDT into Sidekick’s portfolio and expressed excitement about collaborating with Prof. Dr. Pia Wülfing and her team.

Prof. Dr. Pia Wülfing, founder and CEO of PINK!, noted that joining forces with Sidekick Health will expand the reach of their digital health solutions, providing better support and care for breast cancer patients in Europe, North America, and beyond. The combined expertise of both companies will foster new opportunities for innovation in digital therapeutics and enhance patient-centric programs.

This acquisition follows Sidekick's successful acquisition of aidhere in October 2023, which marked its entry into the prescription digital therapeutics market with the zanadio app for obesity management. The addition of PINK! reinforces Sidekick’s commitment to expanding its digital therapeutic offerings and improving patient care through innovative digital solutions across multiple geographies.
