Swoop Acquires Nimble to Expand Pharmacy Connectivity and Prescription Management Services

Healthcare engagement platform Swoop has acquired prescription management company Nimble, also known as NimbleRx, in a move designed to broaden its pharmacy connectivity and medication access capabilities. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Swoop, which provides omnichannel healthcare marketing solutions for the life sciences industry, said the acquisition will strengthen its ability to support patient engagement across both direct-to-consumer and healthcare provider channels. By integrating Nimble’s digital pharmacy and prescription management tools into its platform, the company aims to streamline medication fulfillment and improve treatment adherence.

Following the acquisition, Nimble’s offerings will operate as SwoopRx by Nimble. The combined platform will include prescription management, AI-enabled web solutions, audience intelligence, coordinated omnichannel activation, and community engagement capabilities.

Nimble has developed a digital-first platform that allows pharmacies and patients to manage prescriptions through mobile and online tools. Its application enables users to track prescription orders, refill medications, process payments, and coordinate pickups. The company also stated that its technology integrates with existing pharmacy systems, allowing pharmacies to adopt the platform without replacing current infrastructure.

Scott Rines, president of Swoop, said the acquisition extends the company’s role in supporting patients beyond engagement and education into medication access and fulfillment.

“With this acquisition, we’ll now support the patient experience by removing prescription fulfillment barriers. Patients need a frictionless way to start and stay on the treatments prescribed by their physicians,” Rines said.

He added, “Nimble’s impressive footprint, the third largest pharmacy network in the U.S., strengthens Swoop’s ability to drive meaningful real-world outcomes.”

The acquisition continues Swoop’s broader expansion strategy through targeted deals aimed at strengthening its healthcare engagement ecosystem. In 2025, the company acquired MyHealthTeam, a patient social networking platform that operates more than 62 condition-specific communities. Swoop said that acquisition enhanced its ability to gather de-identified and privacy-safe patient insights to support healthcare marketing and engagement initiatives.

With the addition of Nimble, Swoop is positioning itself to offer a more integrated patient engagement and medication access platform for life sciences organizations, healthcare providers, and pharmacies. The move also reflects broader industry efforts to connect patient engagement technologies with prescription management and pharmacy services to improve continuity of care and patient adherence.
