Viome Life Sciences, a company offering at-home tests for gut and immune system health, has acquired Naring Health, along with its subsidiaries DiscernDX and Foodome.
Viome has two divisions, one selling consumer products like microbiome tests for personalised diet recommendations and supplements, and another focused on identifying biomarkers for chronic diseases.
By using AI and a gene expression database, Viome offers home-based tests, such as a total-body intelligence test for personalised food recommendations and custom supplements, an oral-health intelligence test, and a Gut Intelligence Test available through CVS.
Naring Health provides clinical and molecular data for clinical decisions, DiscernDX focuses on early disease detection, and Foodome identifies bioactive compounds in foods. The acquisition will combine resources to offer more precise food and supplement recommendations for personalised nutrition.
Viome recently closed a $86.5 million Series C funding round and received FDA breakthrough device designation for its mRNA analysis technology in 2021, which can detect early signs of oral and throat cancer through saliva samples.
